Job Description

This position functions as lead DevSecOps/Azure DevOps/OpenShift (Kubernetes) engineer responsible for supporting large State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Health Services (DHHS) projects. Contributes considerable business and technical knowledge to complex IT projects.

The DevSecOps / OpenShift (Kubernetes) Engineer will provide leadership and direction, mentoring team members to drive organizational maturity. The engineer will also consult with development teams to ensure platform fit is aligned to the business application requirements.

Additionally, expertise in APIs, microservices, containers, and supporting platform technologies is required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor teams on Azure DevOps and OpenShift practices.
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments.
Support automation across RedHat OpenShift, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Oracle.
Troubleshoot application issues within OpenShift Container Platform.
Build, manage, and optimize Docker and S2I images.
Administer ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Integrate SonarQube, Coverity, Black Duck into DevOps pipelines.
Develop automation scripts in Bash, ksh, and Python.
Collaborate across diverse teams to ensure successful deployments and upgrades.

Qualifications

8+ years experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift.
8+ years experience in Linux shell scripting.
5+ years in application containerization management.
Hands-on expertise with: Azure DevOps (ADO), OpenShift, ELK Stack, Docker ,SonarQube, Black Duck, Python, Bash, Shell NGINX, LDAP, WebSphere.
