Job Description

This position is for an SAP BASIS Consultant supporting the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) under the DTMB Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). The role involves managing SAP system landscapes, ensuring seamless integration, handling upgrades and patches, and providing technical support for critical SAP applications. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced, hybrid environment, working closely with technical teams, vendors, and agency executives.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
Apply patches, upgrades, and support packages while ensuring system stability.
Manage SAP transport requests and perform system refreshes and client copies.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to support business-critical SAP applications.
Ensure system security by maintaining user administration, roles, and authorizations.
Monitor system backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Document SAP landscape architecture, system changes, and operational procedures.
Provide 24x7 support for SAP BASIS-related issues, as required.
Work with vendors to validate deliverables and ensure SAP solutions meet organizational standards.

Qualifications

8+ years experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift.
8+ years experience in Linux shell scripting.
5+ years in application containerization management.
Hands-on expertise with: Azure DevOps (ADO), OpenShift, ELK Stack, Docker ,SonarQube, Black Duck, Python, Bash, Shell NGINX, LDAP, WebSphere.
